Acer AZ5610-U9072 23-Inch Touch Screen All-in-One Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

We just recently purchased this computer when it went on sale for $$$. Setup was very easy and no problems at all. The screen is HUGE and I love it! Windows 7 runs so smoothly and works great. We have used it as a touchscreen but that is not the main reason we got it. It has a very sleek and classy look to it. I love the fact that it is a all in one so there is no bulky tower showing anyhwere. So far I have no regrets on this one. My daughter who is seven even can work this computer by herself and loves it! It was either the Acer, Sony, or HP. After much consideration we didn't get the Sony because of the price and we compared the Sony to the Acer and couldn't really tell much of a difference except for the price. As for the HP the reviews on it were a little disappointing and even the salesperson said so too. We chose the Acer and have had no disappointments yet. If you can get your hands on one get it, you won't be disappointed.

Gateway One ZX4800-03 20-Inch Touch Screen All-in-One Desktop PC

Bought the model that ends in ZX4800-02 - almost identical price with 750 gig of RAM and 4 gigs of RAM.

I like its clean profile (HP looks too busy to me as far as its looks go). We spend a lot of time in our kitchen around our island so I put ths PC in the kitchen as an "Appliance" because:

(1) As a jukebox with windows media center. Shows all my albums with album art and cool User Experience. I can navigate with touch and play/queue with another touch. Friends love it when I throw a party.
(2) I have connected this PC to cable jack with a TV tuner stick using its USB port in back. Again with Windows media center, I can watch TV programs browse program guides, record programs with its touch screen interface or remote control. I now have additional TV and DVR in kitchen.
(3) Since it has built in microphone and speakers, I also use it like a phone (using Skype). One touch and I am talking to a friend over a video chat.
(4) It plays all our pictures and videos slide shows when not in use.
(5) Of course it is a full blown Windows 7 pc as well that kids use when googling or playing games.

Comes with wireless keyboard and mouse. So the whole layout it clutter free. All for 640 dollars. I think at this point in technology evolution I cannot expect any more for the price.

The only complain I have so far is that the space bar on the keyboard has to be typed with a bit more force to register. minor issue.

iBUYPOWER Gamer Extreme 940i Black Desktop (Windows 7 Home Premium)

Had the right components and specs for my needs, basically a general purpose machine for working on stock market activities as well as some Photoshop work. Runs reasonably quiet, and very cool. Ten USB ports on MoBo back panel! Nice. And lots of space inside the case. There are 4 unused 5.25" bays and one 3.5" bay in front, accessible behind the door.
Love the blue lights. Called IBP twice with some issues and had a quick connection with a tech who spoke perfect US English, answered all my questions and invited me to call anytime for free tech service. Wow! Try to get that from the big companies.
The i7-860 and the GTS250 are "good mid-range of the upper echelon", as my friend says, just right for me. I may add 4GB more RAM, but have not seen any need for it.
Completely smooth set-up out of the box. Note: the 1GB GTS250 card has one DVI, one HDMI and one VGA connector. So I can run my twin 28" monitors in digital mode, but needed a different cable. No problem. Otherwise, there is only one little nitpick: the front side USB and headset ports are way down on the lower right side of the case. The window bling is on the left side so the port connections are typically facing away from the user, like against a wall or desk, making access awkward.
IBP, or more properly the case maker NZXT, could have placed the ports in a more convenient location. I did that yesterday, and now have ports and card reader in the upper front of the case. Easiest case I have ever worked on.
I give this consumer experience 5+ stars :)

Sony VAIO VGC-JS430F/S 20.1-Inch Silver All-in-One Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

Only had this computer a few days and I love it! No tower to mess with, very fast processing speed. Doesn't make a peep of noise compared to my old piece of junk that whirred if you were online and updating software at the same time. Very nice, clear screen. This is a early review but thus far very happy. Will update if I have problems in the future.

MSI AE1900-14SUS 18.5-Inch Desktop - Black

I received the MSI AE1900-14SUS 18.5-Inch Desktop - Black a few days ago and have spent that time seeing just what the machine is capable of. I did not want a touch screen, so this unit was exactly as I needed it (as described in the ad).

PROS: I was very impressed with the size of the screen, it does not seem like an 18". The color is crisp, clear and the screen is wide. The whole unit has a very small footprint. The DVD player is also a burner, which was a surprise. The included SD card slot makes backup and document transfers very easy. Also, it is wireless so I do not have to have so many cords. The sound is great. There are a lot of added programs. I was very impressed with the quiet aspect of the unit. The fan does run loud when writing to the hard drive, but that does not last long and the majority of the time the unit is whisper quiet.

MSI AE2220-25SUS 21.6-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

I just wish somebody would take some interest & change the defective keyboard I received along with the package. Presently am just functioning with the mouse & onboard keyboard.

What I would have liked to know before the purchase is - if the warranty is international.

Otherwise this product is just wonderful. Everything is at your fingertips. Its quick. Multitasks easily without any loss of efficiency. Watched a movie in one window, played a game on one & even edited a document in the other.

If the computer is great so is the operating system Windows 7.

No regrets buying this however if I can get my keyboard without having to spend more money than I already have it would be wonderful

Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 21.5-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

I bought it last month at Microstore when there is a deal of $599 with Free Shipping. Love it at the first sight.
Great voice, LCD, and super fast Window 7. And it has TV tuner too. With these, you can enjoy living TV and satellite TV.
The only thing I am not happy is it's without 4-in-1 controller.

HP TouchSmart 300-1020 20-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

Everybody loves this computer! It is a real show stopper with the all-in-one design and the creative touches. The designers did a great job with this and all my friends insist on playing with it.

I got the computer for my Mother-in-Law (whom I adore) because she has been a computer phobe and the touchscreen, the wireless keyboard and mouse, and the installed HP apps really lend themselves to breaking down some of those barriers.

But, most of all, I love the support that I got from the HP techs on a networking issue that I had due to another product. These guys spent hours on the phone with me troubleshooting what turned out to be another manufacturer's problem. They were incredibly knowledgeable on lots of aspects of the system and helped me for a long time on Thanksgiving evening.

All that said, I'm still iffy on Windows 7

HP TouchSmart 300-1025 20-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

I just bought this computer a couple weeks ago and works great. I have it wall mounted (no keyboard or mouse needed) in my kitchen streaming movies and music from my other computer using libraries (windows 7 file sharing). I would not recommend this as a replacement computer but as a multimedia hot spot somewhere in your home. works great in your kitchen to listen to music or stream videos while washing the dishes or cooking up something to eat. Like i said before I would not recommend this as a primary computer. This computer works great as a secondary multimedia unit.

HP Pavilion MS214 18.5-Inch Black All-in-One Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

I have been using now for about six weeks. Wanted to wait before posting a review. Easy set up and does the job without the tower. This is an in between type computer-not a laptop but no longer has the tower. HP advertises this product as such. In use in my office, so I have the space for a tower but this takes care of that with the all in one unit. I had to call HP service for one problem and it was handled to my satisfaction. Had to purchase a new printer-(brother 2140) because my old HP inkjet(too old) would not work with Windows 7. Purchased through Amazon and their price was more competitive than HP site. If you are looking for a good bang for the buck computer-give this one a try.

HP TouchSmart 600-1050 23-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

I am elated with this TouchSmart computer. I works great with a nice bright screen. The installed program to transmit data from my old computer to the TouchSmart worked guite satisfactorily: the on screen directions to make the transfer were satisfactory. My only complaint is the Keyboard: It has keys that are very close to one another as to make it harder for one who has been used to a larger keyboard with definite wider spaced keys. But, I guess I will learn as I become more accustomed to it. I have not yet connected to the TV system, and therefore cannot comment on it's performance. The buyer must be aware that to transfer files from an old computer to this TouchSmart, all programs must first be installed in the TouchSmart before attempting to make the transfer. This was all in all, a good purchase.

HP TouchSmart 600-1055 23-Inch Black Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

Before I ordered this, I was looking at an Acer touchscreen but it did not have a large enough hard drive and did not come with a tv tuner. I love that feature about this computer, as I sit at my desk all day and I like to watch some shows. I can turn the TV on, have a small box open at the top of the screen, work away and still enjoy my shows. The Touch Screen is great even though I don't use it that often for work, my granddaughter loves it for her games. I highly recommend this computer to anyone interested in fast, big screen, TV tuner and touch screen! HP products are the best in my opinion..

Apple iMac MB950LL/A 21.5-Inch Desktop

I've been a PC users since the PCXT days. Now I have a mac. I really have been suprised at how easy it is to learn the mac way of doing things.
So far, everything has been very easy to install and use. I had the windows/vmware setup and the iPhone SDK install the first day. Coming from a PC, I'm delighted at how elegant the interface is, even the mouse and keyboard are elegant. The screen is very nice. Colors seem very good, but I haven't done any photo editing and color correction/matching (so you'll have to get the pros opinion on that one).
Windows runs very well on it and I've had no problems with it.

I can't see changing back to a PC for my uses (not a gamer). This iMac was the best value IMO, compared to the other mac's and macbooks. Even compared to the new mac mini (if you add in the additional cost of a good monitor, bluetooth keyboard and magic mouse, the mini was closing in on the iMac price). I'd recommend this iMac for any deveoper to use as a base system. Power seems more than sufficient add to that the capability to run windows as well and you have one of the best values in a development system I've seen.

All this and lets face it the mac experience is very pleasant, and it doesn't hurt to expand your development into the mac arena.

Dell Studio One 19 Charcoal Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

This is at least my fourth or fifth Dell product and they have all been excellent. This worked right out of the box, was very easy to set up and looks and works as well as advertised - or better. The resolution on the screen is a big improvement and the all-in-one aspect gives you most of the advantages of a desktop with the advantages of small footprint of a laptop.

The keyboard could be a bit better but overall, this is a tremendous value.

ASUS Eee Top ET2002-B0017 20-Inch Black All-in-One Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

I bought this computer because my HP was 2005 vintage littered with all kinds of software. I really like Ausus & like the idea of an all in one. I have a thing about finger prints on monitors so the lack of touch screen was not a minus. This computer has the NVIDIA ION engine & I like the idea of "enhanced graphics"

So what's not to like? The computer graphics are no better or worse than those on my HP I have been using. That computer had Intel enhanced graphics & a top of the line Samsung monitor new in 2008. I expected the Asus to run circles are the old computer but they are about equal which is excellent graphics rendering.

And the Asus-with its Atom processor dual core still strains in ripping CDs. It has a nice internal speaker system-better than average but not exceptional.

ASUS Eee Top ET2203T-B0317 21.6-Inch Black All-in-One Touch Screen Desktop PC (Windows 7 Home Premium)

APPEARENCE:
I was very torn between this unit and the MSI Wind AE2200-25SUS ($899.00). I was able to go to the local Office Depot and look at a lower end model of the MSI Wind. It was the exact same model but was lacking a slew of great features the high end model was equipped with. (The 25SUS is same as this EXCEPT it had a TV tuner AND a remote control) . Everything about the MSI wind was GREAT, EXCEPT the display. There was just a dullness to it i could not change, despite playing with ever single setting in the store. Display is a dealbreaker for me, so i came back to the ASUS website and was excited to see the day i ordered it, it had gone down from $1199.00 to $1117.00 PLUS the $200.00 Rebate, making it only about 30 some-odd dollars different than the MSI, and up close & personal, this unit wins "hands down" in build quality and styling. The plastic mishapen bezel around the MSI was kind of funky, and their keyboard was AWFUL compared to this one.

SOUND: Fantastic!

TOUCHSCREEN: 100% Responsive and sooooo much fun. There is even stylus that rests neatly in the keyboard and that works wonderful if you have "fat fingers"! There is also a prompt that hides itself close to the edge of the screen but is always "ready" if you select it for an "on screen keyboard". Very convenient.

KEYBOARD & MOUSE: Keyboard feel is so nice, in the picture it looked chintzy to me, but it is sooooooo NOT cheap! The mouse is also GREAT, clicks like butter, very soft and silent, love it!

Apple iMac MB952LL/A 27-Inch Desktop

I first thought this iMac was way overkill, but I bought and received it before Christmas 2009, and I have been using it for a month now. It is amazing. I didn't experience any of the issues some of the other reviewers have had, it worked great from day one. The wide, 27" screen is amazing and worth the price of the machine. The primary purpose of a computer for me is photography, and while using photoshop on some of the larger files (i.e. 100-900MB) can be a bit much for it, I am extremely pleased with the performance of this iMac. The screen is so big and sharp, it makes editing pictures a breeze.

Apple iMac MC413LL/A 21.5-Inch Desktop

You can read elsewhere for tech specs or geek rantings, but here's my "I've got it set up as my family computer" five point review:

-FAST: this computer screams, doing about anything you need it to without annoying pauses.

-STYLE: yes, it does look like a fashion statement. And lest you say, "I just care about how it performs"-- you probably have other possessions that you admire their beauty--- some of your clothes, furniture, perhaps your car--- why shouldn't you be able to admire your computer as well? Apple says "YES YOU CAN!"
-SILENT: its internal fans and hard drive are so well designed that it's very hard to hear any noise. I didn't expect that to be a big deal but I can really notice the difference between my old computer's noise level and my new iMac.

-THE SCREEN: yes, it's a thing of beauty, bright, crisp, big, in full HD resolution that you can use to do any type of computing or watch a movie in complete comfort.

-THE OS: Snow Leopard rocks. It's the best personal computer operating system on the planet, period.

All the tech magazines have raved about this computer, and sitting in front of it on my desk I now know why. If you need a new computer I guarantee you will fall in love with it.
